The Year of the Rat has arrived once again
Celebrations to mark the Year of the Rat begin today with the start of Chinese New Year! The rat is the first Chinese zodiac – it was the first animal to arrive at the Jade Emperor’s party after cleverly asking the ox for a ride and hopping off to cross the finish line just before its travel companion did. In Chinese culture, rats are seen as a sign of wealth and surplus. People born in the Year of the Rat are likeable and tend to be optimistic, energetic and sensitive to others’ emotions. Alert, independent and imaginative, people born in the Year of the Art are also creative – we wish all Rats a year full of enjoyable opportunities to use as creative outlets and immense prosperity and success!
